Lightweight one-handed hiking axe – codename : Elek
All of its geometry is subordinated to practicality, yet (perhaps precisely because of this) its appearance has remained aesthetic.
The upper surface of the profile follows a gentle curve, has a minimal beard, and features a large internal surface in the eye, providing more stable contact between the handle and the head.
The cross-section of the eye is narrow, resulting in a slim, well-handling axe, while it is elongated longitudinally, making the handle stiffer in the direction where it is most needed – forward and backward.

Head weight: 450 g
Edge length: 70 mm
Overall length (head): 130 mm
Material: C60 steel, heat-treated to 58 HRC
Edge: convex grind

Handle: ash wood
Handle length: 40 cm

It is perfectly suitable for hiking and bushcraft (compliant with current Hungarian forestry regulations).
Also recommended for around-the-house tasks, limbing, and kindling – due to the edge profile and head weight, it is only limitedly suitable for splitting.
